day lives, we use the same word to describe the infinite number of things that go unnoticed because we are born to them. We have here, too, our contentions, our heartbreaks. Here is the exclusion of a child from a "public" school; here is the persecution of a famed scientist who is denied the right to live in a decent location because of the color of his skin; here is the "Restricted" sign, etc. These are the things we talk about. All of them have a place under the big word "democracy" |
